— The first roll-out to Standard Release organizations of the new SharePoint admin center. Organizations with 50 or fewer licensed users of SharePoint will be switched to the new SharePoint Admin Center automatically, but admins can switch back temporarily to the classic admin center as necessary.
Who: Standard Release customers.
When: late March.
Adoption Note:
- No user impact. Only admin impact.
6:06 Admin center support updates, including full page ticket history view and callback scheduling – Read announcement MC173891
— This change affects the experience you have when you log a ticket with Microsoft Support for Microsoft 365. New features include:
- Ticket history displayed on a full-page.
- Resolution steps to follow, displayed distinctly in the ticket.
- Schedule a callback.
- Defined your own case severity.
- Export your case history.
- Increased character limit to 2500, to describe the issue.
- Updated Service Request view – see at a glance the status of your tickets.
Who: Targeted release admins.
When: First calendar quarter of 2019. i.e. Before March.

9:08 Outlook mobile supports Teams Meetings – Read announcement MC173895
— The Outlook mobile app will now use Teams as the online meeting option for those meetings scheduled from with the Outlook app.
- Create Teams meetings from calendar on Outlook Mobile app.
- Organization in Teams only mode will see the option in Outlook Mobile.
- If in Skype and Teams mode, Teams meeting will replace the Skype meeting option on Outlook Mobile.
Adoption Note:
- If you're part way through enacting your plan to move to Teams only, your end users need to start using Teams.
18:50 Making a change to non-delivery report notifications – Read announcement MC173908
— Non-delivery reports will shift to 24 hours instead of 48 hours.
- Only affects messages queued on Office 365 services.
20:40 Feature update – Mobile admin app update, including device management – Read announcement MC173915
— Rename of the Office 365 Admin mobile app to Microsoft 365 Admin.
- An additional feature added will be the ability to restore corporate devices to factory state
When: Late first quarter
23:39 New feature: Open file links directly in Office desktop apps – Read announcement MC173956
— When opening a link to SharePoint and OneDrive documents, the user will be prompted to choose whether to open in the Windows app or in browser. Does not affect links inside Microsoft Teams.
Adoption Note:
- Users working in the web browser will need to click another prompt before working in the browser.

— Microsoft is moving management of apps from Microsoft Teams add-in page to the Teams and Skype for Business Admin Center. Admins will be able to use app policies to highlight the apps that are most important for your users within Microsoft Teams.

— Group owners that manage within Outlook will be able to approve or deny join requests for the Group from within Outlook.
