Microsoft has announced the launch of Communities in Teams - a new take on Microsoft Teams for personal use. It uses the same Microsoft Teams app and learnings from years of use by millions of users. Anyone is able to use Teams for calls, sharing, and collaborating! These lists exist in your SharePoint sites, as well as within your own OneDrive for Business. Now we also have a Microsoft Lists desktop app that allows usage of lists offline and provides quick access. Here are my thoughts and instructions for you to install the app.

My Office apps are licensed via a Microsoft 365 license and the documents I wanted to open were stored in OneDrive for Business. However, when I tried to open the document in the desktop app, I received an error: Sorry, another account from your organization is already signed in on this computer. I was able to fix the issue, but it did take a few minutes of troubleshooting to figure it out. Normally when the OneDrive sync client installed, you are able to control file behaviors via the Windows context menu. These behaviors include Sharing, Version History, and deciding if the file should be synced to the machine or kept only online. This menu is extremely helpful in making your PC feel as though it is one with your portion the OneDrive cloud. However, on the PC I logged into, those OneDrive menu items were not there when I selected a file. It was as if OneDrive wasn't installed at all. Watch this video to see how I fixed it!

Providing a call-in number for your meetings is a great way to make sure your attendees will be able to get into meetings. Microsoft Teams, via the Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing add-in, allows your meeting organizers to provide a dial-in number for all attendees. Announced October 12th, 2020, Microsoft will provide a free Dial-in Audio Conferencing for Microsoft Teams option!

If you use the Microsoft OneNote 2016 application on the desktop and open OneNote in the browser, you are well aware of the layout differences between the two. In this video, I demonstrate how you can get a similar layout experience with OneNote on your PC and in the browser. I cover how to move pages and pin the notebook selector view. I show also how the OneNote for Windows 10 application can play a role in bringing consistency of experience.

The method for publishing a calendar to the internet for public use is detailed within the Outlook client itself. To publish an Outlook calendar to the internet, you should be able to simply right-click on the calendar in the listing and select Publish to Internet. However, that option just isn't there.
