I'm excited to announce that I am going back to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and Saint Paul) to speak at SharePoint Saturday Twin Cities – the April 2019 edition. I will give two sessions at the event – the first being with my co-host of The Coffee Chat on 365 Adoption, Sarah Haase. We will be talking about how you can drive adoption of Microsoft Flow within your organization. We will show you how to use the functionality of Office 365 to empower your users. The second session will be with Drew Madelung and we will be talking about how to create a real-world sharing strategy for SharePoint, OneDrive & Microsoft Teams. We will be covering the scenarios and questions you and your organization should be asking when you start to make decisions about sharing within your organization. Be sure to register for the event coming up on April 6th, 2019. It'll be great to see you there!

On April 23rd 2016, I will be speaking at the Spring installment of SharePoint Saturday Twin Cities. There is a great line-up of speakers (too many to name here) and sponsors, so please check out the site for details: SPSTC. I will presenting a session titled “Future-proof SharePoint Solutions” – I am looking forward to showing off demos of SharePoint Server 2016, SPDocKit, and others. If you are at SPSTC, please come by and say hello. [UPDATE] The day before I was to travel to Minneapolis, April 21st, the musical artist Prince died at his home in the Minneapolis area. The people of Minnesota and specifically the Minneapolis area seemed to love their hometown superstar and the weekend did have an undertone of morning the Purple One. My slides from my presentation can be found here: Future-proof SharePoint Solutions – Building SharePoint Solutions with Out of the Box Features and No Code Friday night was a great time of food and fellowship – catching up with old friends and ones that I had made at the previous SPSTC. Having fun with @bniaulin @sarahhaase @percusn @SPSTwinCities pic.twitter.com/jnQnQiZcQE — Daniel Glenn (@DanielGlenn) April 22, 2016 The morning of the event, I arrived to great buzz that is the SharePoint community in Twin Cities – people were ready to learn and with a little help from donuts and coffee, we were ready to teach and learn right along with them! Keeping the #spstc speakers on a sugar high pic.twitter.com/Hg6WNKbWA1 — Daniel Glenn (@DanielGlenn) April 23, 2016 I attended several sessions, but I wanted to highlight the great session Michelle Gilbert and Alexis Bell gave. “Creating a Buzz: Putting on an Office 365 Awareness Fair”. They did an excellent job walking through why and how you should be promoting and communicating your transition or implementation of Office 365. They shared their current and recent past experiences with evalgelizing and socializing the whole Office 365 transition and I highly recommend attending their session if you have the opportunity! Great pointers on who to recruit to be champions in your organization @alexisjbell @MichellesUtopia #spstc pic.twitter.com/0y4X7Ypzwl — Daniel Glenn (@DanielGlenn) April 23, 2016 My session was last in the day and I was excited to engage attendees on how we can use out of the box SharePoint functionality to create meaningful solutions for our user communities. There was a great buzz in the room and conversation to go with it – I really enjoyed my time with them in the session. You have a well-run event and the attendees received some high-quality traning and networking time with some great speakers.

I was really excited to be selected to speak at this year’s SharePoint Saturday Twin Cities in Minneapolis. It is known as one of the best SharePoint Saturday (SPS) events and I now was going to see the event first-hand! I had a little fun with the promotion of my session at the event, given that #SPSTC was only a few days after #BackToTheFutureDay (October 21st, 2015). The speaker dinner was excellent; great location, food, and a relaxed atmosphere. I had the opportunity to catch up with organizers and other speakers, some of which I hadn’t seen since the Microsoft Ignite conference in May. The organizing committee was awesome and we all had a great time enjoying the fun items in our speaker bags. Saturday morning arrived and with over 500 people in attendance, I knew the day was going to be fun! I had a room full of people eager to hear about Tuning SQL Server for SharePoint. The group had a lot of questions and was very interactive…and fun? As is the norm at SPS events, there were some fabulous speakers delivering world-class content. After the giveaways, some of the organizers and speakers went to dinner to wrap-up a fun day. Thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and other speakers – I am sure to return for the announced Spring 2016 edition of #SPSTC! Download the deck from my Tuning SQL Server for SharePoint session.
